Standards InterventionsTeachers monitor each student's progress toward curriculum benchmarks through a variety of assessments. Students who are not progressing satisfactorily through the school system are provided with a number of special services including referral to programs like RAP and Special Education. They may also receive extra assistance in the classroom, be recommended for summer school, or for additional tutoring. The district is currently exploring other support structures that will assist students who need more academic help including expanded after school programs and computer assisted instruction. Parents should contact their child's teacher at the elementary level or school counselor at the secondary level to become aware of interventions available at each school site and grade level. |
