Principal: Emilie Hard

Welcome to Glacier Park Elementary! I am very proud to be the principal of this wonderful school. We have caring, dedicated staff, kind and hard-working students and supportive families. Glacier Park is known for its positive climate and high achievement data. Special programs include drama opportunities, a mentor program and a variety of before/after school activities. In my sixteen years in Tahoma I have served previously as Cedar River Elementary Principal, Rock Creek Elementary Teacher, and Curriculum Specialist in the Teaching and Learning Department. I was one of the authors of the core curriculum units and provided staff development and leadership in math (K-8). Areas I am especially passionate about include Reader's Workshop, Math Problem-Solving, Integrated Curriculum and thinking skills instruction. My classroom teaching experience spanned kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth and fifth grades and a gifted program.
	Born and raised in Eugene , Oregon , I earned a B.S in Elementary Education, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction and Administrative Credentials from the University of Oregon. I am married and have two grown children. For recreation I enjoy reading, gardening, traveling, attending concerts and plays, cooking and playing the piano.
