Secondary Summer Math Connections
Tahoma School District is providing seven weekly summer math packets and on-line review from the Holt Math program for students in grades 6-12. Packets span a range from Math Course 1 to Algebra II. Parents will get the math packet that is customized for the level of math their child had during the 2010-2011 school year. Our intent is to provide students with math practice to help prevent summer learning loss. Research shows that students can lose up to three months of learning over the summer months. We want to keep student math skills sharp and prepare for a smooth start into math classes in September. There are a variety of activities and students are welcome to do additional practice within the program outside of what teachers have identified We hope you have a wonderful summer break and include some learning time in math.
Students needing help with the assigned math practice can attend a weekly math help session. These are staffed by our high school math club students and one of our teachers.

Summer Learning Connections Math Packets are arranged below by the class students just completed. These are e-mailed to parents approximately every two weeks throughout the summer.
