As part of the Tahoma School districts effort to integrate the curriculum and align with the state EALRs, unit notebooks are created for each unit of study.  Unit notebooks provide the teachers with specific lessons for teaching content knowledge, content skills, and thinking skills.   Each unit includes an outcome and guiding question that guide the instruction.  Through these units we teach thinking skills and behaviors and we emphasize learning the district goals.  The teaching and district staff create these notebooks focusing on the particular unit of study, the grade level specific EALRs, and the district outcomes.

These curriculum notebooks are summarized by grade level and are available for purchase by printing and filling out the Integrated Curriculum order form.

In addition, the Tahoma School District offers two District Teaching Guides for purchase. They are:

• THE FILE Notebook - An instructional strategy notebook created for our high school staff to promote active learning.  Sections include Cooperative Learning, Thinking Skills, Multiple Intelligences and assessment ideas.

These Teaching Guides may be purchased by printing and filling out the Teaching Guide order form.
