Safe Arrival Program

The goal of the SAFE ARRIVAL PROGRAM is to account for the whereabouts of each student not in attendance on any given school day. Both the parents and the school staff must work together to make this program work effectively. If we each do our part this process is extremely effective and efficient in insuring the safety of the children. The program works as follows:

When you know that your child will be late or absent from school, please call your child's school and leave a brief message. It is best to call between 5:00 p.m.and 8:00 a.m. prior to the absence. If you do not know that there will be an absence or late arrival until after 8:00 a.m.please contact the school just the same.

  1. It is important to keep the message brief. Leave only the following information:
    a) student's name, grade and name of teacher
    b) your name and relationship to the student
    c) date(s) of absence
    d) state if the absence is due to an illness or appointment
  2. If your child is absent and no message is left, an office staff person will call your home. If no on can be reached at home, you will be phoned at work. Please make every effort to call the SAFE ARRIVAL NUMBER and report an absence.

Be sure to send a letter to school the day of your child's return explaining the reason for the absence.

Again, thank you for your help in assuring our children are safe.
