Grades can be accessed for 7th graders at http://family.tahoma.wa-k12.net/. Contact 6th grade teachers for questions and concerns about their grades.
Skyward Family and Student Access requires a login and a password. The password your student has been given is not readily accessible by staff at TMS. In order to protect your student’s privacy, we will not be giving the information out over the phone. However, Linda Clarke can help you get this information by emailing her at lclarke@tahoma.wednet.edu.
Sometimes problems logging in occur. There is usually one of three reasons:
1. Fat Os vs. skinny 0s--perhaps you put in an alpha "O" where a number "0" should be.
2. "I"s are mistaken as "1"s or visa versa
3. Spaces between the digits representing the last name and first name are not keyboarded in (you need to keyboard them in; sometimes there are 2 spaces).
Once you have accessed this grade site, save this link in your Favorites File. You will have access to your student’s progress in most of their classes whenever you want it. You may check and see what assignments have been turned in and which ones are missing.
When you are inside the Skyward site, press the link that says "Grading". In the next window press the Progress Report icon. This window gives you opportunity to access a detailed progress report, all assignments (a list of assignments), or missing assignments in one window. "All Assignments" and "Missing Assignments" can also be accessed individually by clicking of the index tab at the top of the window. To get detailed information the assignments by clicking on the "Assignments" icon.
Missing assignments appear as empty boxes with the “*”. The empty boxes with the “*” indicates that the grades haven’t been inputted yet. The empty boxes in no way affect your student’s grade. If the box remains empty the assignment has been excused. Only a “0” indicates that there is work that wasn’t completed.
Unless you object, using the Skyward Grade site may replace the need for your student to have surveys filled out. |
