Felderman is fast and furious
COVINGTON -- Tahoma's Kristin Felderman doesn't regard herself as a natural on the track -- she admits she has carried over a few bad habits from other sports.
But she's pretty darn close to a natural when it comes to the 400 meters.
If ever an athlete had the physical and mental attributes for a specific event, it is Felderman in the 400. She's not a great starter, so the race is just long enough to allow her to build her momentum to top speed. She's also not a great long-distance runner. That's no problem, either, because the 400 is middle distance.

Curtis Suver placed 3rd in the 5K at the Big Sky Conference Meet (NCAA Div 1) and qualified for Nationals!!!

Moore NAIA National Qualifier (website article )
Sophomore Kelsey Moore (Maple Valley, WA) became a NAIA National Qualifer with a second place 2:19.30 performance in the 800 meters. Kelsey came into the meet ranked 5th in the 800 and reduced her season best time by 7 seconds. Moore also ran on placewinning 4 x 800 and 4 x 400 relay teams. Coach Clark said: “I am tickled for Kelsey Moore to get the chance to run at nationals. She has put in the time and effort in cross country and track to earn this opportunity. We had about as good a team performance as we can have right now.
Willis 34th in the Nation
Former Tahoma track standout, Briana Willis, has been flying high lately. She is ranked 34th in the country in the womens high jump with a personal best of 5' 9 3/4". Briana will be Washington State University's top jumper at this years Indoor Championships in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Ryan Dirks is in his junior year at Pacific Lutheran University. He competed at the NCAA National Track & Field Indoor competition this last weekend. He placed 1st in the Nation!! Ryan is a former Tahoma Bear and holds the schools discus record. |

Tahoma High School 1996 grad, Cami Matson, is a senior at the UW and captain of the cross country team at the U. Cami competed in the NCAA Cross Country Nationals and placed 21st in the nation, qualifying her to be on the All America Team (the top 30 finalists only).
